Business Development Manager, Spain

Toluna is seeking for a high quality individual to work within our Spanish sales team based in Madrid, who is highly skilled  in both new business and account management, having covered a sales role in a B2B environment for at least 5 years and preferably but not necessary in a Research Agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Mix of account management (30%) and new business responsabilities (70%)
  • Early focus on booking meetings with potential buyers
  • Pitch and sell Toluna’s online services (DIY and Assisted) to a mix of Corporates and Agencies
  • Understand how Marketing Department and Market Research Department buy research services and reasons for purchasing Toluna real time digital services versus competition.
  • Attain or exceed all established individual indicators, objectives, quotas and guideline
  • Build excellent client relationships offering value-added, insightful and strategic input to their business at the pitch stage, proposal stage and presentation stage
  • Participate in all ongoing Toluna training as required
  • Input all relevant information into the appropriate sales tracking databases, including bids, prospect and client contacts, meeting reports, etc.
  • Great understanding of technology products that are disrupting the digital and research industry

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in lead sourcing
  • Cold-calling skills to arrange appointments with clients and prospects
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English required; and native Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or marketing
  • Successfully proven record of new business and account management in a quota driven environment
  • Commercial background, having covered a consultancy sales role for minimum 5 years
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective client presentations in-person and via the telephone
  • Excellent team player and capable to work in a very dynamic and fast growing company
  • Proactive, multitasking and hands on approach
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
