Toluna opens Korean office, appoints new country director

Hong Kong, 25 March 2014: Leading online research and survey technology provider, Toluna, today announced the opening of its first office in Korea – a milestone moment as the business continues to expand across the APAC region.  Kayne Park has been appointed as Country Director, Korea, and will be based at the new office in Seoul. 

Park joined Toluna APAC as a Project Manager in 2009 having moved from a role in accountancy. He relocated from Sydney to the company’s APAC headquarters in Hong Kong two years later when he was promoted to Associate Director, Korea. Park was responsible for building the Korean team and fostered relationships with Korea-based clients. 

His promotion to Country Director, Korea, together with the opening of the Seoul office, will be a significant step in Toluna’s growth in the domestic market.

With its suite of pioneering market research technologies, Toluna plans to develop its sample and technology businesses in Korea, helping to drive the growth of the business and focus on delivering expertise to its broad range of APAC clients.

The news of Toluna’s first Korean office, as well as Park’s appointment as Country Director, Korea, follows the recent appointment of Neil Hayes as Director, Australia & New Zealand.

Toluna’s Global SVP Research and Development, Frank Smadja, will be speaking on The Big Data Challenges of Computational Market Research at BigData Innovators Gathering (BIG) 2014 in Seoul, Korea on 7 April 2014.
