Research Account Manager

Major Purpose of the Position:

This position is intermediate level within a client-dedicated Panel & Project Management team.   Incumbents in this position are responsible for ongoing management of contract invoicing and expense tracking for Management Services, and provision of ad hoc quantitative and qualitative market research project pricing and feasibility to the client.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contract invoicing and expense tracking in accordance with the client’s pre-approval and invoice format requirements.
  • Prepare monthly reports to monitor revenue and expense performance relative to budget.
  • Prepare documents such as price quotes, terms of the sale, delivery dates and service obligations
  • Submit periodic reports detailing activity, sales volume, and revenue and margin performance for ad hoc projects.
  • Continually monitor project progress and support resolution of problems as they arise.
  • Maintain project files, including complete documentation and audit trail.
  • Engage in follow-up calls with client contacts to stay abreast of status of previous project bids, and liaise with internal delivery staff to monitor progress toward successful delivery of won projects.
  • Provide smooth project transition to the delivery team through effective internal communications and necessary internal documents for project kick-off (e.g. feasibility, pricing, project timelines, project margin).
  • In coordination with the Panel Managers, develop protocols for streamlining the feasibility assessment process, and monitoring the evolution of panels’ capacity.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Must be computer literate – proficient in excel.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible and resourceful.
  • Must adhere to the highest level of customer satisfaction standards in the industry.
  • Must to able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Research and business-minded individual with 1- 3 years’ experience in the Market Research Industry.
  • Experience with pricing and/or servicing of quantitative and qualitative research projects is a plus.
