Purpose:  
The Project Consultant is a pivotal and high profile role in our highly successful project management
teams. With full client ownership, the role enjoys full operational independence and autonomy whilst
receiving every tool and support necessary to exceed client expectations.
 
Delights Toluna’s key clients whilst being pivotal to the success of every project offering a consultative
and solution-driven approach leveraging true partnerships at every touch point.
 
Possesses extensive experience in project management, client management and market research skills
which in turn enables them to manage/oversee high complexity projects and client accounts.  
Delivers to leadership directives working independently with sole ownership of client/s and accounts
whilst working closely with internal teams, coordinating and executing projects.
The Project Consultant also supports management tasks with mentoring and training as well as admin
tasks. Acts as an escalation and support point to internal teams and provides technical and trouble-
shooting support.  
 
Key Objectives:  
 
Responsible for the delivery of projects:

-  Takes overall and sole responsibility for projects assigned ensuring delivery to high quality standards as set by the business as well as making sure projects run within cost, budget and quality targets.
-  Assists and provides consultation to clients and colleagues.
-  Actively strives to add value to all projects managed and not only apply processes and procedures
-  Serves as first point of contact for operational issues on own projects
-  Helps with training and mentoring of the new team members
-  Leads and attends client calls or face to face meetings as required
-  Covers all admin tasks linked to projects handled  
-  Identifies and plans for mitigation of potential risks related to project.
-  Collaborates with Operations teams and Commercial teams to ensure project proposals are supported with appropriate deliverables
-  Collaborates with team and line manager to create project/account strategies
-  Works with team to ensure key projects planning is documented and shared

Key responsibilities:

 
-  Provide general consultation to client including but not limited to: questionnaire design and logic in line with research objectives, survey set-up solutions to enable successful delivery of the project to quality and timeline targets as well as budget targets, proactive trouble-shooting.
-  Manage multiple complexity 4-5 (e.g. Conjoint, Max Diff, least full quotas etc.)
-  projects concurrently and independently including large multi-country projects.
-  Maintain all systems up to date and ensures all admin/housekeeping is done within schedule as the project closes.
-  Set out and maintain project schedules that ensure timely and efficient delivery of all projects managed. Ensure schedule changes are communicated and agreed with all internal and external stakeholders
-  Oversee FW phase in full taking care to ensure progress is in line with timelines as well as ensuring that quota requirements are met.
-  Agree sampling needs with Field Manager at kick off stage including full sampling
methodology and feasibility. This includes sampling blend.
-  Ensure key survey questions are monitored during FW to ensure no data issues. Update FM regularly at set timings.
-  Ensure any issues arising on projects are flagged to appropriate touch points immediately and proactively
-  Communicate timely with internal and external stakeholders. This must be effective and solution oriented communication.
-  Escalate issues to appropriate touch points at the earliest opportunity.
-  Trouble-shoot own projects keeping appropriate touch points abreast of issues and progress
-  Coordinate internal project team members and any vendors efficiently and proactively
-  Support and motivate project team to work to common goal on each project
-  Keep internal and external stakeholders up to date with relevant project information
-  Manage partners and vendors independently and efficiently to achieve project goals
-  Manage and monitor costs with vendors effectively maximising return
-  Flag and address project scope changes timely to ensure profit as set out at costing stage
-  Adhere to all process and procedures at all times unless otherwise agreed with
TL/management
-  Support PMs and Trainee PMs as and when requested by TL
-  Support on management duties as and when requested
-  Support in training of new team members
-  Take on additional initiatives as and when requested by Leadership
-  Attend client face to face meetings independently
-  Support sales team with project queries and advice on project and sample feasibility.
-  Be an ambassador of Toluna at all times

Profile Requirements:  

 
-  Working experience (3 years) in online market research in a project management capacity
-  Highly proficient in questionnaire design and logic (questionnaire mark-up)
-  Ability to handle data (proficient with setting up table specs, understanding weighted and
unweighted tables, SPSS usage)  
-  Proven knowledge and experience of managing complex full service projects including
complex logic nodes and algorithms (e.g. Conjoint, Max Diff, least full quotas, loops etc.)  
-  Excellent written and verbal communication
-  Able to detect and trouble-shoot potential issues before they develop into barriers  
-  Team oriented but highly independent for their own projects
-  Ability to train and support others
-  High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritise  
-  C level proficiency in English verbal and written [refer to CEFR classification]
