Digital Research Manager

Toluna is seeking a high-quality individual with solid Research and Management experience to work within our Team in Madrid. Suitable candidates should be highly interested in digital research and specifically on the advantages that automation can bring in accelerating consumer insight and stay relevant in an on-demand economy with faster and faster product life cycles.

Main Objective: Developing the digital research team in Spain leveraging on quantitative research expertise to delivery business and digital objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing and grow a small team of quant and qual researchers sharing best practice and increase professional standards
  • Optimize process and team structure to improve clients’ experience and client’s satisfaction which eventually leads to repeat business. Improve team dynamics and productivity
  • Great understanding of all Toluna Digital offering. Act as Digital Ambassador internally and externally. Putting Toluna digital research platform as nr1 priority in delivering services for clients
  • Provide guidance on research design, questionnaire structure and sample design to clients, PMs and sales
  • Help finding synergies with clients and establish long lasting fruitful partnerships with them
  • Directly involved in highly complex research deliveries
  • Working with Sales and Client Service Team (PMs team) to align on project specs and business needs
  • Supervising output delivered by researchers and harmonizing different clients’ experience
  • Work closely with all departments to achieve best solutions and service for Toluna’s clients

Time Management:
Ideal time spent by Digital Research Manager across the following areas:

  • (20%) Management of team
    • Research Coordination including project allocation and project escalation
    • Validation and harmonization research proposals and research output across the team
    • Define and share best practice among team
  • (40%) Direct involvement in Research Delivery
  • (40%) Digital Ambassador & Sales Partnership
    • Great knowledge of our digital offering
    • Combine our digital offering with research capability when required
    • Represent Toluna at client’s events and webinar
    • Participate with Sales at client’s pitch

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related experience
  • 10+ years market research experience spanning both across research and management
  • 5+ years market research experience spent in a commercially focus Senior Research role
  • Experience in online and mobile research. Preferably exposed to DIY research tools
  • Client management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Spanish and English
  • Highly motivated, able to work within tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities
