We are looking for a Business development manager to join and support our ANZ Sales team.



Business Development and Account Management

  • New business responsibilities and account management of his/her own clients.
  • Sell Toluna’s online services in a defined sales territory, namely data collection and SaaS buyers in Corporate customers.
  • Attain or exceed all established individual indicators, objectives, quotas and guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed all revenue and retention rates for specified accounts.
  • Build excellent client relationships offering value-added, insightful and strategic input to their business.
  • Develop delighted customers who continue to purchase Toluna services on a regular basis.
  • Represent Toluna ANZ in regional exhibitions, conferences and events
  • Participate in all ongoing Toluna training as required.
  • Develop and manage marketing awareness campaigns to generate leads in Australia
  • Liaise with APAC Marketing Manager to drive domestic specific materials
  • Input all relevant information into the appropriate sales tracking databases, including: bids, prospect and client contacts, meeting reports, etc.
  • Provide quotations and advice to existing and potential clients within 60 minutes of receipt.
  • Attend all company sponsored training sessions and apply learned techniques to sales efforts.     
  • Complete all paperwork on time and with complete accuracy.
  • Other sales and research-related functions as needed.


Industry and Toluna Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of selling to the market research industry in general and the positioning and benefits of online research to clients and prospects.
  • Understand the research and business issues and reasons for purchasing Toluna services with every key decision maker.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all Toluna offerings and product enhancements as well as how they relate to relevant business and research issues clients and end-clients face.
  • Understand and use the Toluna pricing and all of its nuances.
  • Be knowledgeable regarding all areas of product feasibility and timing, how to assess feasibility and timing and what steps can be taken to increase feasibility or decrease timing.
  • Continually stay abreast of new product offerings, market research industry issues and competitive strengths and weaknesses.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven new business sales background;
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English required;
  • Degree required, preferably in business, marketing or a sales concentration;
  • Market research background (supplier, agency or client’s side);
  • Ability to thrive in a sales quota driven environment;
  • Proven self-managed professional;
  • Researching, cold calling and qualifying skills to arrange appointments with clients and prospects;
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective client presentations in-person and via the telephone;
  • Excellent inter-personal and inter-departmental skills;
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
