Toluna has a team of recruitment professionals dedicated to locating and recruiting survey respondents. Over the years, we’ve found that it is important to ensure that part of our recruitment procedure involves providing panellists with information about the commitment required to participate in an online panel, to ensure respondents are qualified and interested in joining.
In-depth member profiles
Members update their profiles frequently, and are rewarded for participating in ‘profile update’ surveys. This provides us with the ability to effectively target respondents for survey research, and provide surveys that are relevant to their demographics, and interests. Our focus on panellist quality
Toluna employs several procedures to confirm identities and detect fraudulent respondents. At registration, a user’s email must be both valid and unique within the panel. Our system automatically identifies duplicate email addresses and machine “fingerprints,” and performs IP checks to ensure that the respondent is coming from the correct geography. Panellist information is compared against our own ‘black list’ of excluded respondents who are not allowed to join (or re-join) our community.
Toluna is dedicated to ensuring quality management procedures are applied when providing sample and also programming client’s questionnaires. Our company operations are governed by documented processes, including those for project management, survey programming, quality control, sampling, panel management, and confidentiality and security of information provided by clients, panellists, and other proprietary records. These processes are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis. We have reviewed the proposed ISO standards for market research access panels and have found our processes to be substantially in compliance.
