    Chief Executive


    Frédéric-Charles Petit is CEO and founder of Toluna, a leading digital insights provider in the market research industry.  Frédéric founded Toluna to revolutionize the way brands and consumers engage with one another, with the ultimate objective of transforming the market research industry into a mass market and social experience.

    Toluna helps companies anywhere in the world make clearer business decisions by bringing brands and people together via its streamlined research platform and the world’s largest social voting community, Toluna.com.  As the core of Frédéric’s vision, toluna.com engages 10+ million consumers to participate and generate millions of votes and polls around every day topics, thus making real-time consumer-generated research a reality. Toluna employs more than 1,200 people, with offices in 18 countries, and communities in 49 countries.

    Toluna was listed on the AIM stock exchange in 2005, and the company was taken private by ITWP in 2011. Frédéric is currently CEO of ITWP, which also owns Harris Interactive in Europe.

    Toluna was ranked in the top 30 of the annual Sunday Times Microsoft TechTrack 100, which awards the fastest-growing British companies, as well as, in 5th place of the Investec’s ‘Top 100 fastest-growing private companies’ in the UK and was featured as one of the most successful and pioneering digital companies in France according to the magazine L’Entreprise.

    Frédéric holds a Master’s degree in comparative jurisprudence from New York University and a diploma in advanced studies in international economic law from the Sorbonne in Paris (D. E. A.). He practiced as a French lawyer in the corporate department of Allen & Overy’s Paris office, before establishing Toluna in May 2000.

  • Jim Fredrickson
    Chief Operations Officer


    Prior to joining Toluna in 2011, Jim Frederickson, Chief Operations Officer, already had a storied career within the market research industry. His vast experience, thorough understanding of client needs, and overall dedication to excellence made Jim the perfect addition to the executive team. His appointment emphasizes Toluna’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality survey data and a superior client experience.

    Prior to his tenure at Toluna, Jim was the President, North America at IPSOS Interactive Services. In that role, he was responsible for all of the online market research conducted in North America.

    Jim was also a key player at Harris Interactive for more than 20 years where he held various positions including Executive Vice President, Global Research Operations. During his time at Harris, he was instrumental in the development of their online market research capabilities and the globalization of the company’s operations.

    Jim has also been active in several industry organizations including those involved in promoting the overall quality of online data collection.

    He received a BS degree in Math and Computer Science from the State University of New York College at Brockport.

    Jim's industry background, commitment to quality, and deep understanding of client needs will benefit clients across the world.
  • Pierre Camagne
    Chief Financial Officer


    Pierre joined Toluna in 2015 and serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Pierre comes to us with many years finance experience and was previously the Investment Manager at Verlinvest, as well as Senior Conslutant for Ernst & Young.

  • Frank Smadja, PhD.
    Executive Vice President of Engineering


    As Executive Vice President of Engineering, Frank Smadja leads the IT and engineering operations of Toluna utilizing his expertise in users’ communities and innovative applications and services. He also brings with him the unique business perspective of having co-founded two successful startups:  RawSugar, an early social bookmarking site, and ASAPNews, an internet news aggregator, which was acquired by Elron Software in 2003.

    Earlier experiences include a stint at Lehman Brothers as a senior software engineer developing information filtering solutions for news feeds and Bellcore as a research associate in computational linguistics.

    Frank is a prolific writer and researcher, having authored more than 20 research papers and articles. He has also been a co-author on multiple patents for web and text mining technologies. He holds an Engineering degree, majoring in math and physics, from Ecole Centrale de Paris, an MSc (DEA) in Computer Science from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), and a PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics from Columbia University.

    Executive Vice President, Global Digital Marketing


    Kyle Kim-Hays is Toluna's first Executive Vice President for Global Digital Marketing.  He has built and executed innovative marketing and product strategies as a senior executive at diverse companies ranging from Microsoft and Verizon to Warner Bros. and American Express.  Kyle brings a unique and consistent record of successfully engaging millions of consumers around the world and driving business results by effectively leveraging new and emerging technologies.  His academic credentials include an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Irvine and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
  • Mark Simon
    Managing Director, North America / Managing Director


    Mark Simon, Managing Director, North America, and Managing Director, Toluna Digital, brought with him a broad range of experience in market research, start-up acceleration, product launches, and new market development when he joined Toluna in 2005 as a founding member of the newly established UK office. Within two years, he was the Managing Director, a role he held before stepping into his current responsibilities in 2013.

    Before his work at Toluna, Mark was a Client Development Director for Greenfield Online, a pioneer in internet research, which was acquired in 2009 by Toluna. He also held positions outside the digital research industry focused on data planning and direct marketing.

    He holds a BSc degree in Business Economics and French from the University of Southampton.

    Mark took on the role of Managing Director for Toluna North America in 2013 and brings 8 years experience and success from his former role as Toluna’s UK Managing Director.

  • Anne-Marie Horgan
    Group General Counsel at Toluna


    Anne-Marie Horgan joined the ITWP Group as Group General Counsel in April 2016. She has almost 20 years of legal experience within the information services sectors and specialises in data protection and compliance matters having gained extensive experience across multiple jurisdictions. Immediately prior to arriving at ITWP, Anne-Marie was Associate General Counsel at GfK, responsible for all legal and compliance matters in UK, Ireland and Nordics and Baltics regions. Anne-Marie holds a law degree from the University of Hertfordshire and is admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales

  • Philippe Guilbert
    Senior Vice President Quality and Innovation, General Manager France


    As Senior Vice President in charge of Quality and Innovation and General Manager France, Philippe Guilbert is tasked with determining and championing Toluna’s new product development strategy. Before joining Toluna, Philippe held senior positions at leading French market research companies including BVA, CSA, and TNS Sofres.

    A recognized expert in online market research, Philippe is involved in several professional organizations and been a board member of Syntec Etudes since 2013. He is also a member of Esomar and serves on the Professional Standards Committee, which defines and reviews codes and guidelines within the market research industry.

    Philippe holds a Diploma in Advanced Statistics (ENSAE) and Economic Sciences from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

    Philippe is General Manager Toluna France. Since 2007 he is also Senior Vice President in charge of Quality and Innovation. He is a member of Esomar Professional Standards Committee since 2014.

  • Marco Gastaut
    Managing Director South Europe


    Marco joined Toluna in 2008 as Commercial Director for Italy. This new professional challenge allows him to introduce to the Italian market innovative and revolutionary products for online data collection as well as to further gain expertise in the world of online market research. To date, the Toluna’s Italian clients includes all of the major market research agencies associated Esomar and Assirm with a focus on online and mobile research.

    Thanks to Marco, Toluna has achieved a leadership position in Italy for both the provision of online samples and technology solutions for creating panel community for research purposes.

    In June 2009, Marco has been promoted as Sales Director South Europe, with the aim of developing the Spanish market in parallel with the consolidation of the Italian market.

    In November 2014 Marco was promoted to the position of Managing Director with P&L responsibility. Marco’s mission is to facilitate investment in the market research industry towards automation, technology and innovation to accelerate the process of Consumer Insight generation.

    In January 2016 Marco was extended his MD responsibilities to South America and supervised the opening of Toluna Latam HQ in São Paulo, Brazil. Toluna aims to become a disruptive force in the market research sector in Latam and to affirm its leadership in this very strategic region.

  • Ludovic Milet
    Managing Director, APAC


    Before he joined Toluna in 2015 as Managing Director APAC, Ludovic Milet already had 20 years of market research industry experience. In his current role, Ludo is responsible for Toluna’s business strategy and execution across the Asia-Pacific region.

    His market research background includes senior-level positions at GMI, where he was responsible for the Asia-Pacific region and GfK’s Retail and Technology Division (now called Consumer Choice) as Business Group Director working with decision-makers of leading organizations in the consumer electronics and home appliances industries throughout Europe and Asia-Pacific.

    Ludo has a Master’s degree in Marketing and Corporate Finance from Sciences Po in Paris, France.



    Ludovic Milet joined Toluna in 2015 as Managing Director APAC, bringing more than 20 years of market research industry experience to the company. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for Toluna’s strategy and execution across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Michael Anderson
    Head of Sales, North America


    As Senior Vice President, Head of Sales at Toluna North America, Michael Anderson oversees the efforts of the North American sales team. Michael came to Toluna through Greenfield Online, which Toluna acquired in 2009. While at Greenfield, Michael served as Senior Director, Major Accounts and was responsible for managing several key client relationships. His success then and now lies in creating sales and service teams that work together to enhance customer service, increase revenues, and engender client loyalty.

    He received a BS degree in Mathematics and an MBA, Finance from Fairfield University.

    Michael is influential in creating sales and service teams that work together.

    Managing Director, UK


    When Paul Twite, Managing Director UK, joined Toluna in 2010, he brought with him an abundance of digital technology experience and knowledge. His current role, which he assumed in 2013, keeps him on the front lines of Toluna’s UK business as he, along with his team, leverage their expertise to strategically grow sales. In his prior role, Paul was Sales Director for UK and Ireland. During his tenure, Toluna experienced a sustained increase in both the number and depth of client relationships in the research and technology sectors.

    Before joining Toluna, Paul headed divisions at United Business Media in Hong Kong and Haymarket in London.

    He holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds.

    Nader Kobeissi is General Manager of Toluna MENA.  Nader Kobeissi comes to Toluna most recently after working as the Managing Director of OnDevice in MENA.  Nader has a longstanding career in the market research industry, with positions held at IPSOS, as Regional Director, Interactive Services MENA after working for Toluna in 2000.  The Dubai office will be the regional hub for Toluna’s MENA business.  
    Nader Kobeissi is General Manager of Toluna MENA.
