Toluna’s PanelPortal™ Branded Online Community Offering Integrates Social Media Features

Clients benefit from increased portal stickiness and viral/word of mouth recruitment possibilities

(Wilton, CT) Toluna, one of the world ’s leading online research panel and survey technology providers, announces the launch of key improvements to its Branded Online Community (MROOC) product, PanelPortal™, specifically the integration of Social Media features.

Custom panels have historically provided brands with access to a pre ­targeted consumer base for market research purposes. PanelPortal leverages Web 2.0 to provide respondents with a more engaging, more socially-inspired user experience than a typical custom panel.

Tolunna launched the first online global ‘community’ consumer panel and PanelPortal leverages similar ‘socially inspired’ principles.  PanelPortal branded community members can interact with one an other, post polls, comment on discussions, and more. They can ‘chat’ or browse Facebook while in the PanelPortal environment.  Similarly, Twitter-users can “Tweet” things they like directly from PanelPortal.
