Toluna Healthcare Practice Announces Increased Access to Patients

New, Hard-to-Reach Patient Segments Available for Survey Research

Wilton, CT, November 22, 2016 - Toluna, leading provider of on-demand, real-time digital consumer insights, and longstanding provider of healthcare research services announces a strategic partnership that yields increased access to patients for survey research.

Toluna’s Healthcare Practice is based in North America and has been providing healthcare and pharmaceutical research practitioners with access to physicians, pharmacists, nurses and medical professionals of all specialties, as well as ailment sufferers since 2000.  The Practice is one of the leading providers of access to specialist respondents and applies many of the same principles used for the company’s 10+ million member consumer community to healthcare respondents.

Toluna’s newfound access and approach to hard-to-reach patient segments is valuable, as a network of physicians performs the recruiting, screening and distribution of the research engagement.  This helps to both identify and recruit difficult to reach groups, such as those who use a specific type of medication or suffer from a specific ailment.  This practice is a compliment to Toluna’s portfolio in this space, as the company also offers clients the opportunity to survey ailment sufferers through pharmacists.

Studies can be done with a wide range of patient types, both with and without specific product usage, including but not limited to Lung Cancer and Melanoma, Kidney Disease, Psoriasis, and HIV/AIDS.

 “We believe that it’s critical to have an in-depth knowledge not only of the healthcare landscape but how to engage with survey respondents in effective ways.  Our clients have diverse needs, and we’re always looking for new ways to help them access the precise audience they need for their research studies,” says Steve Orlick, VP Healthcare, Toluna.

Some of the groups now made available include;

  • Product or medication users that suffer from specific illnesses, or ailments.
  • Individuals that experience specific symptoms.
  • Very low-incidence sufferer populations.
  • People who suffer from sensitive conditions.
